The Building Inspector reviews plans, issues permits and
inspects all new construction and remodeling work within the
City of Altoona. This includes work relating to building
construction, heating and air conditioning, electrical,
plumbing, roof, fences, and sign installation. The Building
Inspector also enforces City ordinances relating to the
floodplain, zoning, property upkeep and land use. |

Most long-term property owners will eventually meet the building
inspector who serves their area. Whether you are applying for
a required permit or just looking for information, I hope that this
page will be helpful. It is not, however, meant to be a
self-serve site, so please also call me at 715-839-5192. I can
usually meet with you the same day or certainly soon thereafter at
City Hall, at your home, or at a proposed or on-going jobsite.
