Conditional Use Permit

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 6:05 p.m. or as soon thereafter as is practical there will be a public hearing at Altoona City Hall located at 1303 Lynn Avenue for a Conditional Use as submitted by Harold Kuhnert of 436 Lake Road (parcel #201-2189-04). The request is for a 30 foot x 36 foot (1080 sq. ft) detached accessory garage with a 12 foot sidewall (eave height).  Together with an existing shed, the total proposed footprint of the accessory buildings will be 1200 square feet.  The Conditional Use is regulated by Section 19.28.090 C. of the Altoona Municipal Code.               

All interested parties are invited to attend.  Said hearing shall be held before the Plan Commission.  If unable to attend, submit your opinion in writing prior to the public hearing.  If you have any questions, call 839-6092.

A Joint Meeting of the Chippewa Valley Cities with mayors, administrators, city councils, and staff members held at the Osseo Golf and Recreation Center for social hour and dinner, then the meeting will take place at the new Osseo Municipal Building.  Therefore, because a quorum of one or more of the Altoona Council Members may be in attendance, public notice is hereby provided.  No action will be taken by any of the governmental body in question.

2012 Street Project
Regarding Special Assessments
for the
Daniels Avenue Street and Utility Project

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as is practical) there will be a public hearing in the Council Chambers at Altoona City Hall located at 1303 Lynn Avenue, to exercise its police powers pursuant to section 66.0703, Wisconsin Statutes to levy special assessments upon properties in the areas hereinafter described for the benefits conferred upon said properties by the reconstruction generally consisting of grading, gravel, asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, eight (8) inch PVC sanitary sewer main, eight (8) inch DIP watermain, one (1) inch HDPE water services, four (4) inch PVC sanitary sewer services, manholes, inlets, other utility appurtenances and adjustments, and lawn restoration.

A Report from the Director of Public Works is available and on file with the City Clerk.  All interested parties are invited to attend.  Said hearing shall be held before the common council.  If unable to attend, submit your opinion in writing prior to the public hearing.  If you have any questions, call the Public Works Director at 839-6092.

Please Take Further Notice, that upon the completion of the public hearing that the Common Council may entertain the passage of a Final Resolution to construct the improvements and to impose special assessments thereof.
