A candidates' forum for the Altoona Mayoral sponsored by the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce, NewsTalk 790 WAYY, WQOW, Chippewa Valley Community TV, and the Leader-Telegram held in the Community Room at the Altoona City Hall, 1303 Lynn Avenue, Altoona, Wisconsin.  Therefore, because a quorum of one or more Altoona City Council Members may be in attendance, public notice is hereby provided.  No action will be taken by any of the governmental body in question.

Discontinuance of a Public Way

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Common Council on Thursday, March 8, 2012 in the Council Chambers of Altoona City Hall, 1303 Lynn Avenue, at 6:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as is practical) to discontinue a part or portion of Fairway Drive (click here for map) pursuant to State Statute 66.1003, Wisconsin Stats.

Following which public hearing, during its duly called meeting scheduled for that date, the Common Council intends to take action on said street or public way discontinuance.

All interested parties and their representatives are invited to attend.  If unable to attend, submit your opinion in writing to City Hall, 1303 Lynn Avenue, Altoona, Wisconsin 54720 prior to the date of the public hearing.

The Plan Commission will be making a recommendation at its meeting starting at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012.

Preliminary Plat

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Plan Commission for the City of Altoona will conduct a public hearing on Monday, March 12, 2012 in the Council Chambers of Altoona City Hall, 1303 Lynn Avenue, Altoona, Wisconsin at 6:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as is practical) regarding the proposed preliminary plat as submitted by C & M Properties and Construction for lands lying within the Country Club Estates Addition (within the NE & NW quarters of Section 22, T27N, R9W) and as required by Chapter 18.06, Altoona Municipal Code.

A copy of the proposed preliminary plat is available upon request from the City Clerk's office.  Public input regarding the proposed preliminary plat is invited.

Upon approval of the preliminary plat, the Common Council shall review and act upon the Plan Commission's recommendation at its Thursday, March 22, 2012 meeting starting at 6:00 p.m.

Moonlight Drive.
