Union Pacific Railroad proclaims Altoona a "Train Town USA"

Know all citizens by these presents the Union Pacific Railroad was established when the sixteenth president of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln, signed the Pacific Railroad Act on the first day of July in the year One Thousand Eight Hundred And Sixty Two.
Whereas, the City of Altoona was established in the year 1887.
Whereas, the City of Altoona is located near or on the railroad named Union Pacific.
Be it therefore resolved, the Union Pacific Rairoad recongizes the City of Altoona as a place of historical significance to the railroad. Hereto, Union Pacific Railroad does grant the City of Altoona the title of Train Town USA to have and to hold by means of the signing of this proclamation.
In consideration of the above, the Union Pacific Railroad wishes to bestow congratulations upon the City of Altoona on this noteworthy milestone. On this 10th day of September in the year Two Thousand and Fourteen.
