Altoona Fire crews respond to truck fire

ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) -- A truck fire kept Altoona Fire crews busy for a few hours Tuesday afternoon.

Chief Mark Renderman told WEAU 13 News crews were called at around 5 p.m. to the parking lot of Altoona Hobbs Sports Center, involving a truck carrying a load of hay.

Renderman said the truck's load shifted and caused some sort of a mechanical failure. He said this was probably not noticed until the hay was being unloaded.

Renderman said one person was treated on the scene, but was not injured and was not taken for further medical attention.
