City of Altoona Cancels Partial Watering Ban

Thursday, July 26, 2018
Director of Public Works/City Engineer

ALTOONA, WI -- The watering restrictions placed on the City of Altoona's water customers on July 23rd have been lifted effective immediately.

The partial watering ban was put into effect due to ongoing difficulties related to repair of an existing well, as well as unseasonably dry weather.  Altoona customers were limited to watering their lawns every other day during the partial ban in order to maintain an adequate supply for drinking and fire protection.

If you have any questions, please contact the City of Altoona at (715) 839-6092.

Thank you for your cooperation.
