ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU)- Thanks to four Altoona residents and an Altoona police officer, nine ducklings are safe and sound.

Viewer Ken Simpson says he spotted the mother duck and a duckling circling a storm drain in Altoona Saturday.

Sure enough, a handful of little ducklings had fallen in.

It took more than an hour for officers and a few other helping hands to get the ducklings out and reunited with their mom.
