Extended stay hotel planned for the NW quadrant of River Prairie development

November 13,2014 Altoona, Wisconsin- Tom Larson, President of Larson Companies, and Jack Blackburn, Altoona's Mayor, are pleased to announce that a Purchase Agreement has been approved by both parties for a 2.69 acre parcel of land within the Northwest Quadrant of the River Prairie Development. This parcel of land will be the site for a new extended stay hotel project.
Construction of the hotel project is expected to start in 2015 with a 2016 opening planned. Altoona Lodging, LLC has been formed to be legal owner of the project. "Within the next month, the ownership group will complete the franchise evaluation process.
More information will be released at that time," stated Larson.
"The hotel is one of the key elements to achieving the City's vision for River Prairie," commented Mayor Blackburn, "And we couldn't be more pleased to be working with a very reputable local company with a long history of building and operating high quality businesses."
About River Prairie Development
River Prairie Development is an 90-acre mixed-use development made up of the NW and SW quadrants of US Hwy 53 and River Prairie Drive in Altoona, Eau Claire County, WI. River Prairie is located directly off exit 89 on US Hwy 53.
