David A. Walter, PE, Director of Public Works/City Engineer

The City of Altoona currently has a pile of logs left over from tree clearing activities.  The pile is located on a City lot at the easterly end of Garfield Ave on the north side of the street (click on map below).  The logs consist of a variety of sizes generally ranging from 10 to 15 inches in diameter.  This wood is available to the public on a first-come/first-served basis.  Residents and non-residents are required to sign a waiver at City Hall prior to obtaining the wood.
