The newly expanded Altoona Public Library is housed in City Hall at 1303 Lynn Avenue. The library has over 40,000 cataloged books, 5,000 paperbacks, many children and adult periodicals, audio books, DVDs, and videos for all members of the family. The Library is a member of the Indianhead Federated Library System and with the on-line MORE System.
