Altoona City Council votes to make masks optional in City facilities

Friday, February 25, 2022
City of Altoona staff

Altoona, WI - Late last night, the Altoona City Council voted to make masks optional in City facilities. As such, beginning today, Friday, February 25, 2022, masks are strongly encouraged, but not required within City facilities. This action follows several area public entities that have modified their masking and/or meeting policies due to declining COVID cases.

We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate these ever-changing and challenging situations. In the near future, public meetings will also be transitioning from virtual to in-person. Please check the EVENTS page on the City of Altoona's website for meeting information.
