The City of Altoona Announces the 3^rd Annual Altoona Frosty Fun Series

ALTOONA, WI - The City of Altoona is excited to announce the 3^rd Annual Altoona Frosty Fun Series, a series of community events showcasing outdoor winter recreation opportunities. The Cities of Altoona and Eau Claire have worked collaboratively over the last several years on the Wintermission Initiative to implement pilot projects based on community feedback that aim to shift public perception towards winter and get more people of all ages actively embracing social opportunities and public spaces during the winter. The Altoona Frosty Fun Series is possible due to a sponsorship the City of Altoona received from Visit Eau Claire.

Confirmed Altoona Frosty Fun Series events include:

• Rays of Sunshine Find
• Location: River Prairie Park
• Date/Time:  Begins Friday, February 11th. Drawing on Monday, February 14th.

• Altoona Lions Club Ice Fishing Classic
• Location: Lake Altoona
• Date/Time: Begins 12pm on Saturday, February 19^th and ends at 12PM on Sunday, February 20^th
• Presented by: Altoona Lions Club and City of Altoona
