Crews battle Altoona garage fire Thursday

Altoona (WQOW) - A portion of 1st Street West in Altoona was blocked off Thursday afternoon as crews responded to a garage fire.

The home owner told News 18 he was not there when the blaze started, but one person was, though authorities say no one was injured. 

The fire destroyed the unattached garage, and melted some of the house's siding, but no word yet on the cost of damages.
