ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) -- Employees from a local business are getting out of the office Thursday to volunteer in the community.

Volunteers from Wipfli helped with the installation of Born Learning Trails by United Way in Altoona.

Born Learning Trails are research-based outdoor activity paths that encourage children to talk, listen, read, think, imagine and create. The trails support United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley's Successful Children's Network Initiative.

Volunteers say it's always rewarding to participate in community service projects.

"We get to get outside of our comfort zone today and give back to our community doing things together as a team that we normally wouldn't be doing so it's a lot of fun for us," said Marci Boyarski with Wipfli.
Organizers say Little Star Daycare and Bethlehem Lutheran Church also helped with the installation.
