UNDATED (WEAU) -- Two cities in the Chippewa valley made the list of the top 50 safest cities in Wisconsin.

Altoona came in at number 11, while Chippewa falls is number 45; that's according to a report from the National Council for Home Safety and Security.

The report used violent crimes and property crimes data to determine which cities were the safest.

The top three cities in the Badger State are Oconomowoc, Freedom, and Mukawonago.

In the Coulee Region, West Salem and Holmen made the list.
