City of Altoona Independence Day Celebration is being held on July 2nd and Event Traffic Plan

Come out and enjoy the City of Altoona Independence Day Celebration in Cinder City Park on Saturday, July 2nd, 2016. Gates open at 4 PM. This Celebration will serve as an event that the whole family can enjoy. There will be a fireworks display, provided by Woodman's Markets, which will begin at 10 PM. There will be several events at this Celebration such as live music, a cribbage tournament, hot dog eating contest, knockerball, local food vendors and concessions.

 

Schedule of Events:

4 PM - Gates Open

4 PM - Hot Dog Eating Contest Registration

4:30 PM - Cribbage Registration

5 PM - Cribbage Tournament

5 PM - Hot Dog Eating Contest

6:15 PM - Chasing Mabel

8:30 PM - Divided Highway

10 PM - Woodman's Fireworks

10:30 PM - Divided Highway

 

After the fireworks, the following traffic restrictions will be in place:

-No turning North onto 10th St West from Spooner Ave.

-No turning South onto 10th Street West from the carnival grounds parking area.
