Business Education Teacher, Kelly Ostrander at Altoona High School received the Governor's Financial Literacy Award in the Legacy Category. The award honors recipients for their efforts to promote financial literacy in schools, the workplace and communities throughout the state. The governor presented 15 people, businesses and organizations with the award. Ostrander says she's been teaching for 27 years and is grateful for the honor.

"I don't feel I have done it. I feel that it's my school and my students and my speakers and the real life academy and junior achievement members," said Ostrander.

The recipients were selected by the Governor's Council on Financial Literacy.
