Schedule for Absentee Voting by Special Voting Deputies for the 2023 Spring Primary

Monday, January 30 through Monday, February 20

Special Voting Deputies (SVDs) are individuals who are deputized by the clerk of each municipality to administer absentee voting in nursing homes and qualified care facilities. SVDs visit each qualified facility to issue absentee ballots and assist residents who are eligible voters with the voting process. The SVDs are required to serve as witnesses in this process and must verify voter's identities as part of the voting process to satisfy the photo ID requirement. Rays of Sunshine Find | Altoona Frosty Fun Series Event

Friday, February 10 through Saturday, February 18

River Prairie Park, Altoona, WI

On Friday, February 10 starting at 4:00 pm, 100 numbered tennis balls will be scattered throughout River Prairie Park. Families are encouraged to go and find these "Rays of Sunshine"!

Starting Monday, February 13th random numbers will be drawn daily at 9:00 am and posted on the Altoona Parks & Recreation Facebook Page. If you are holding one of the lucky tennis balls you WIN!

Candlelight Snowshoe Hike | Altoona Frosty Fun Series Event

Saturday, February 11 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Centennial Park, Spooner Avenue, Altoona, WI

CORBA and the Altoona Parks & Recreation have teamed up to host the annual Candlelight Snowshoe Hike on the off-road trails in Centennial Park! A few pairs of snowshoes will be available to use, but if you have some, please bring some. Flat bottom toboggans or sleds for the little ones are welcome.

Jelly Bean Hill Challenge | Altoona Frosty Fun Series Event

Saturday, February 25 from 1:30 PM to 6 PM

Jelly Bean Hill, McCann Drive, Altoona, WI

An obstacle style race in which participants will run up and then sled down Jelly Bean Hill! Racers must bring their own sleds and must stay on sleds on their way down the hill. This is a family-friendly event with free registration. Awards will be given for 1st place finishers in each heat.

Frosty Toona Fat Tire Race | Altoona Frosty Fun Series Event

Saturday, March 25 from 10 AM to 1 PM

River Prairie Park - Public Parking Area behind Prairie Place Apartments

Join in on the fun of racing with fat tire bikes throughout the River Prairie trail! This will be a 3 mile race, beginning on the top of the hill behind Prairie Place Apartments and ending at the River Prairie Lower Pavilion. This is a free event to participate in with awards being given to 1st-3rd places in the Men's and Women's Division.
