The selected applicant will be responsible for maintaining City facilities, equipment and grounds, primarily in the Public Works Department. Part-Time Janitor-Maintenance Technician

The City of Altoona, population 7,797, located in West Central Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced and engaged law enforcement professional to assist the Chief of Police with leading the Altoona Police Department as its new Lieutenant.

The selected applicant will be responsible for assisting the Chief of Police with managing and overseeing the daily operations of Altoona's police department. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in all aspects of municipal law enforcement, and preference will be given to applicants with leadership experience in police operations. The City of Altoona is seeking a strong, innovative, and progressive leader with a collaborative management style who will engage employees through teamwork.
The new Lieutenant will assist the Chief of Police with supervising fifteen (15) sworn police officers and two (1.5 FTE) administrative support professionals.
Starting salary range: $71,136 - $73,236 DOQ + excellent benefits.
Any additional monies would require City Council approval.
