Virtual Juneteenth Observance and River Prairie Bike Rack Dedication

Friday, June 19th, 4:30pm-5:30pm - Combined Juneteenth and River Prairie Bike Rack Dedication Ceremony from the City of Altoona with presentations from Mayor Brendan Pratt, Police Chief Kelly Bakken, Uniting Bridges President Dr. Selika Ducksworth-Lawton, Altoona High School Principal Jim Reif and Chippewa Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center President Breana Stanley. Juneteenth events will take place throughout the day on Friday and will be available to the public virtually through ZOOM. Attendees may register through the Eventbrite link below.

Uniting Bridges of Eau Claire is the principal organizer of Chippewa Valley's annual Juneteenth celebration. This year, the event is co-sponsored by the City of Altoona, the City of Eau Claire, Converge Radio, the UWEC Office of the Chancellor, the UWEC Office of Multicultural Affairs, the UWEC Office of Affirmative Action, the UWEC History Department, CoLab and Visit Eau Claire.
