Scrap metal drive raises fund for Altoona PD K9

ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) -- One area fundraiser is asking for your scrap metal.

The Altoona Area Foundation and K9 Dorms are hosting a scrap metal drive.

It's taking place at The Shed on Mayer Road in Altoona.

Organizers said community members can drop off their household items including: washers, dryers, lawn mowers, bikes, and cars.

All the proceeds are going to the Altoona Police Department to support a new K9.

You can drop off your scrap metal through Wednesday, June 6.
