Winter parking enforcement starts Sunday for Chippewa Falls, Altoona streets

Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - Chippewa Falls winter parking enforcement will go into effect on Nov. 15.

Starting Sunday, cars cannot park on city streets between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. no longer than 30 minutes. Violators face a fine up to $15. 

The ordinance also states that keys cannot be left in an unattended and unlocked vehicle on a Chippewa Falls street, alley or other public place. Violators are subject to a $50 fine. Winter parking enforcement goes until March 31.

Altoona also starts calendar parking enforcement on Nov. 15 through April 15. Alternate side parking regulations will go into effect on all streets between midnight and 7 a.m. On odd-numbered days, vehicles can only park on the side of the street with odd-numbered addresses. On even-numbered days, vehicles can only park streets with even-numbered addresses.
