ALTOONA, WI - October 21 , 2015: The City of Altoona was recently recognized with an American Graphic Design Award for the design of their new website. The website was designed and developed by First Net Impressions and features a user-friendly interface for people living in, relocating to, visiting, or doing business in Altoona.

"Since the website went live, we've received lots of positive feedback. I love that the website does not feel like a typical government website! It highlights the abundant recreational opportunities, community events, remarkable schools, successful businesses, and municipal resources available to you in our growing community," said Ann Lein, Administrative Assistant for the City of Altoona.

First Net Impressions will present the award at the next Altoona City Council Meeting this Thursday, October 22 at 6 PM.

American Graphic Design Awards have recognized excellence in design for over 50 years.  Selected from more than 10,000 entries, winning work represents the best of design studios and ad agencies, large and small, from across the nation.  Past winners include some of the nation's most revered brands such as Walmart, Kraft, Bacardi, RCA, and Coca-Cola Company. The complete list of this year's winners will be released in December.

The 40-year-old competition is presented by Graphic Design USA and Adobe Systems Incorporated. It is open to advertising agencies, graphic design firms, and in-house creative departments at corporations and institutions. The GDUSA Design Annual showcases the best and brightest designs in 23 categories ranging from print and packaging, to Internet and interactive design.
