New daycare center in Altoona to open

ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) -- A new daycare center in Altoona is opening up soon.

Little Minds Matter's third location is opening up Aug. 14 in the new River Prairie development. The nonprofit daycare center held a ribbon -cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon. Those with the center say it's been a fun journey.

"Our business partners have worked tremendously since 2015 to develop what we have. It has been busy, fun, exciting and just really rewarding," said Gwen Sweeney, co-founder.

Little Minds Matter also has a location on the west side of Eau Claire and in Durand.
