River Prairie Park, Altoona

Whether you're celebrating a graduation, a birthday, or a family reunion, nothing provides the pleasant, nostalgic fun of a party in the park. The sunshine peeking through gaps in the tree canopy, the soft grass underfoot, the smell of lighter fluid and charring meat, and the sound of adult conversation and children's play. There are dozens of rentable parks, courts, pavilions, and shelters throughout the Chippewa Valley waiting to help bring your summer social to life. All it takes is a reservation, and you're well on your way to bliss.

Eau Claire

The city is home to numerous pavilions, bandshells, and neighborhood shelters.  Venues offer capacities from 10 people at smaller parks to up to 1,300 guests at some Phoenix Park locations. Many venues offer grilling areas, access to trails or water, and restroom access. A few have kitchens as well. Whether you're throwing a small party in your neighborhood or organizing a huge bash in downtown next to shopping, dining, and live performance, options in Eau Claire abound. If you're interested in renting an Eau Claire facility, call (715) 839-4649 or visit the City of Eau Claire website.

Altoona

Altoona is home to parks with classic charm and recreation areas with innovative new designs, including the multifaceted River Prairie Park. Nine choices offer endless possibilities, with some venues boasting river views and pond access. There are nearly 200 acres of park in which to give your guests the space to party. Stages, fields, and amphitheaters provide opportunity for a variety of recreation and entertainment. For more information about rental options visit the Altoona city website or call (715) 839-5188.

Chippewa Falls

With shelters that can accomodate crowds of more than 100 people, Irvine Park has a lot to offer. The Activity Building has electricity, restrooms, and a kitchen, while pavilions galore are perfect for those looking for a bit more Vitamin D. Picnic tables and grills are available at several locations to accommodate your cookout. You can reach the Chippewa Falls parks and recreation office for reservation information at (715) 723-0051 or through the city website.

Menomonie

Take the party out to Lake Menomin at one of Wakanda Park's many reservable locations. If the water isn't calling you, of course there are several other choices, including the newly-constructed Wilson Farmers Market Pavillion and Band Shell. Menomonie is home to sports courts and shelters aplenty, and all of the rental options offer electricity. The Menomonie park reservation form is available on the City of Menomonie website or by calling (715) 232-1664.
