Crews begin tearing down remains of Encore Bar and Grill

ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) -- Crews are tearing down the remains of a restaurant after fire destroyed it earlier this year.

The former Encore Bar and Grill building on Harlem Street in Altoona was being dismantled on Tuesday afternoon. American Express Transport and Excavation of Eau Claire is doing the work.

A fire on February 16 destroyed the restaurant. Investigators with Township Fire Department say the fire has been ruled accidental. They have been unable to determine the exact cause of the fire.
