ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) -- Get ready for the first ever, River Prairie Giant Pumpkin Festival. It's happeneing September 29th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Prevea Amphitheater at River Prairie Park in Altoona. It will include a weighoff, which will be held in conjunction with an event called "Party in the Prairie." The weekend will consist of a national country act in the Prevea Amphitheater on Saturday night, followed by the weighoff the next morning on Sunday. There will be music following the weighoff in the amphitheater. There will be food trucks to feed the participants and spectators.
